Bye Bye Standby has announced the latest release of their new Energy Management solution, accompanied with seminars, work shops and training courses.
The latest solution offers facility managers further control over their organisations’ energy output with an intuitive system featuring energy monitoring, energy wastage management and departmental reporting.
Departmental Reporting
At the touch of a button, Bye Bye Standby Energy Manager can measure specific departmental energy usage and the costs that are associated with it. Making this information tangible allows effective and precise management of energy wastage, which will have a direct impact on any P&L.

Information for global spend (and possibly even for individual offices) is commonly available, but identifying specific departmental costs, for example, how much the marketing department spent last month on electricity is normally beyond most businesses. Departmental Reporting allows:
- measurement of the cost of the energy that each department uses so you can cross charge it accordingly should you wish
- reduction in costs by managing that energy use, for example by automatically switching things off when they are not in use
- the feedback in graphs or tables so they can be analysed to demonstrate real savings or help with calculating cross billing amounts

Bye Bye Standby’s Energy Manager Mini (with departmental reporting built in) is the core of any Energy Management solution.
The majority of businesses will see savings immediately. A typical Energy Manager Mini deployed in a larger organisation would normally pay for itself within 2 years, saving up to £50 per employee per year.
Able to cater for up to c.100 users, the Energy Manager Mini is a more affordable option than the Enterprise solution.

Bye Bye Standby has created a kit based around the Energy Manager Mini which comprises of:
- 1 x Energy Manager Mini
- 1 x Zone Controller
- 20 x Smart Socket Pro
- 20 x Wall Switch Pro
- 20 x Energy Manager Client Licenses
- 20 x Bye Bye Standby Screen Saver licenses
The Energy Manager Mini Starter Kit is a great way for small offices to start saving energy straight away as it contains everything you need to start measuring energy usage and then manage the reduction of energy wastage.
The Energy Manager Mini Starter Kit contains enough Sockets and Switches for up to 20 staff (or office peripherals). The Energy Manager Mini can accommodate up to approximately 100 users.
Trial
The feasibility of running a trial with the Energy Manager Mini is very simple. After carrying out an initial audit, our Bye Bye Standby Installation and Servicing Team will specify a short trial (whether you are considering a simple manual system or a fully automated multi-site installation) and carry out installation with minimum disruption to staff.
This trial will be managed and measured remotely by the team, who will produce a comprehensive report detailing findings and recommendations upon its completion.

Bye Bye Standby is offering businesses a FREE audit of their offices to identify how much money and energy could be saved using their Energy Management solution.
With no obligation, Bye Bye Standby will:
- arrange a convenient time to visit your offices
- conduct a manual survey of your office and measure the energy being wasted
- feed this information into our energy modelling systems to calculate your company's total potential savings
- present a report detailing our findings and our recommendations
- advise on any grants, subsidies or tax breaks that could be utilised
All free of charge and with no obligation - the report is yours to keep at the end of the audit to do with as you please.
The report
The detailed report will include:
- a list of what controllable equipment discovered during the audit
- the status of office equipment during the supervised visit
- a statement regarding whether or not the equipment surveyed is likely to be typical of the broader company and a statistical projection of the number of devices likely to be found in the organisation as a whole
- a statement calculating the energy being consumed during the audit

12 May 2008 - Roadshow comes to Buckinghamshire
Modern businesses are facing increasing pressure to reduce their energy spend (and carbon footprint). The purpose of this seminar is to introduce ways to benefit from delivering office energy savings using the Bye Bye Standby Energy Manager Mini.
As energy costs rise and their effect on the environment becomes ever more important, reducing energy use is now an important part of many business plans. Bye Bye Standby has recently appointed industry leading IT reseller, Micro-P as their new distributor for the Energy Manager solution.
