Introduction
The Bye Bye Standby website allows you to control your home using a web browser.
You will need an "Online Controller", one or more "Smart Sockets" and an internet connection (Broadband or other "always on" type connectivity).
Once you have setup your account and devices, you will be able to control your devices from a web browser anywhere in the world (subject to an internet connection being available).
This article serves as a getting started guide, beginning with how to create your user account.
Creating an account
When you first view online.domia.eu you will be asked to login or create an account.
If you already have an account, go ahead and login. (see here for more information).
If this is your first visit, then you will need to create an account. To do so, click on the "Create Account" link.
You will see the following screen:
Fill in your username, password and email address, then click on the register button.
Note that both username and password are case sensitive.
You are asked to enter your password twice, to ensure there are no typographical errors.
It is also important that you enter a valid email address, as you will need this if you forget your password in the future.
N.B. You are advised to make your password secure - something not easily guessable - as anyone who has this password can control your Bye Bye Standby devices.
When you've entered your details, press the "Register" button.
If everything was entered correctly, you will see this:
If there were any errors (such as both password fields not being the same) then you will be asked to correct these; do so, then press register.
Logging in
To use your account, you must first login.
Again, browse to online.domia.eu
Enter your Login (username) and password in the relevant boxes, then click "Sign In"
N.B. Your Web Browser may ask if you want it to remember the details (username and password). This can be convenient, saving you from having to enter them whenever you wish to access the site. However, if you're using a shared or public PC, you should choose not to store them.
If you correctly entered your username and password, you will be logged in to the site, and can begin using it to setup and control your devices.
